Opportunity will knock for a number of West Coast Eagles hopefuls in the AAMI Community Series match against Fremantle at Optus Stadium tomorrow.

A cluster of fresh faces will line-up for the Eagles in the last formal hitout before the season opener against Gold Coast in a fortnight.

Recently-listed forward Hugh Dixon was been selected while others hoping to follow his pathway onto the senior list – midfielders Patrick Naish and Tom Joyce – have also been selected in the squad.

Joyce has resumed training with the Eagles while Naish, who played six games with Richmond last season, has been named in the 26-man team after arriving in Perth only two days ago.

They will be hoping that they can impress with the supplemental selection period closing on Wednesday.

While that pair are vying for a late life-line, young November draftee Brady Hough and experienced utility player Sam Petrevski-Seton, traded in from Carlton, will be pressing to play their first game for the club against the Suns.

Petrevski-Seton missed last week’s hit-out with Fremantle with a knee injury but is good to go while Hough has been impressive across half-back in both match simulation and practice matches in the lead-up to the season opener.

Joyce, Naish, Petrevski-Seton and Hough have all been named on an extended interchange bench.

Classy forward Liam Ryan has completed a stint under AFL health and safety protocols and has been named deep in attack, as expected.
