West Coast Eagles vice-captain Dana Hooker suffered a left shoulder injury during the second quarter of the Bulldogs clash at Optus Stadium.

Hooker left the field of play and did not return to action, with West Coast’s doctors sending the midfielder for further assessment.

The x-ray results showed no fracture as originally feared with Hooker instead suffering a subluxed acromioclavicular joint requiring no surgery.

"It's disappointing to lose a player to the calibre of Dana Hooker," Head of Female Football Michelle Cowan said.

"She has shown resilience and determination in every match this year after missing the 2021 season with a foot injury.

"Dana will be in a sling for the next four weeks with return to play in two-to-three months' time.

"We wish Dana a speedy recovery and are looking forward to seeing her on-field next season."
