The AFL has advised the deadline for team lodgements for Sunday’s RAC Derby at Optus Stadium has been extended.

West Coast and Fremantle will no longer be required to submit 26-player squads of a starting 18 and eight interchange players on Thursday.

Final teams of 22 players plus four emergencies will be announced at 2.30pm AWST on Saturday, April 2, instead of Friday, for the round three clash.

The West Coast Eagles are continuing to work closely with the League while multiple players are in the AFL Health and Safety Protocols.

Sunday’s game will be the 54th meeting between the clubs, with West Coast holding a 32-21 win-loss advantage in RAC Derby clashes.
