Exciting utility Emma Humphries has been unveiled as West Coast's fourth priority signing after an impressive season with Hawthorn's VFLW team.

Humphries, a former Demon and Roo, has been one of Hawthorn's major ball winners this season and has worked diligently for another opportunity at AFLW level.

This season Humphries has played mainly as a wing or small forward and caught the eye of West Coast recruiters with her two-way running and work rate.

With an ability to drive the ball forward and create contests, Humphries looks set to add some depth and knowledge to a young Eagles' engine room for the upcoming season.

The versatile midfielder joins Claremont products Ella Smith and Sasha Goranova - as well as former Thunder forward Kate Bartlett - as the final mature-age selection for the year ahead.

Senior coach Michael Prior is excited at the prospect of Humphries joining the AFLW team for the upcoming season.

"It's great to add Emma to our list for the 2022 season," he said.

"She can play either in the midfield or up forward, with her versatility in this area a real selling point.

"Emma has had a great year in Hawthorn's VFLW team and has pieced together some really consistent performances.

"She'll be a great asset to the team and we can't wait to have her on board."
