The West Coast Eagles recently celebrated the club’s loyal, long-serving members, holding two Beneath Our Wings Sundowners at Mineral Resources Park.

The club would not be what it is today without the commitment of our members, and the official member recognition program, Beneath Our Wings, aims to acknowledge the contribution of our loyal members to our football club, while celebrating and rewarding them for their consecutive years of membership.

Hosted by former player Scott Cummings, both sundowners were an opportunity for the West Coast Eagles to thank members, with an invitation to enjoy complimentary catering and the company of likeminded supporters at club headquarters.

At the first of the sundowners, players Aisling McCarthy and Bailey Williams were on-hand to provide the inside scoop to 10- and 20-year members, while AFLW senior coach Michael Prior gave an update on the AFLW program in the lead up to AFLW Season 7.

Players Evie Gooch and Jamie Cripps, along with WA footy stalwart and WAFL Eagles head coach Rob Wiley, attended the second sundowner, to give some insight into their respective football teams to the assembled 30+ year members.

Both functions ended with a door prize draw, with two lucky winners taking home a signed guernsey at each sundowner.
