Started the season in the AFL side and was busy in the early rounds before a long-term ankle injury derailed his campaign.

Langdon was at his best in the opening month of the season, adding running power and defensive pressure to the forward line.

He was omitted for round seven against Richmond and hurt his ankle in the WAFL that weekend, costing him two months of football.

But the 26-year-old was determined to get back as quickly as possible and played senior football again in the final three rounds of the campaign, ultimately finishing the year with eight games to his name.

Standout performance: Pipping the Pies

It was a stirring win at the time and even more impressive in hindsight given the fortunes of the two teams, but West Coast’s epic round four upset of Collingwood was a true team performance from the understrength Eagles.

Langdon played his part, picking up 15 touches and kicking an important goal to start the second quarter as belief grew an against the odds victory could be on the cards.

Accurate kicking got the Eagles over the line, with the visitors nailing 14.3 to Collingwood’s 10.14 in the gripping 13-point triumph.
