Senior Coach

Before starting his coaching career with the Eagles, Prior played in the AFL for both West Coast and Essendon Football Club. Drafted third overall in the 1992 national draft, Prior played 81 games for the Bombers before returning home to the Eagles in 2001 and playing nine games in blue and gold. Bringing over 25 years of playing experience to the role, Prior was previously head coach of the Eagle’s women's high-performance academy before being elevated to the senior role at the helm of the AFLW side at the end of 2021. Prior will become West Coast’s longest serving AFLW head coach next season and is one of six AFLW coaches in history who have previously played for their club.
