The West Coast Eagles have informed 20-year-old midfielder Kayley Kavanagh that she will not be offered a contract for the 2026 AFLW season.

Kavanagh was selected by West Coast in the 2023 AFLW draft with pick no. 14, hailing from the Calder Cannons and Victoria Metro.

After suffering an ACL injury in her first pre-season, Kavanagh was sidelined for the entirety of the Eagles’ 2024 campaign.

Following her rehabilitation, she made her debut in round two against Essendon this year and went on to play seven games in the blue and gold.

"We would like to sincerely thank Kayley for her contribution to our club over the past couple of years,” AFLW List Manager Jordan Loxley said.

“She showed tremendous resilience and work-ethic over the past two season and earned the deep respect of her teammates through strong team-first mentality.

“We wish Kayley all the very best for the future."
