Every kid’s favourite mascot, Rick the Rock and his new friend Rosie the Rock joined current AFL players and club community staff for fun and interactive education programs.

Club staff and players visited more than 135 schools and engaged with over 32,000 students across WA.

Schools and Community Coordinator and former Eagle, Brad Dalziell says the two-part program delivers key messages to students, including striving to be your best, respecting others, and looking after you overall wellbeing.

“The overwhelming joy and smiles seen from participating students whilst delivering this program makes everything the team does rewarding and showcases the impact the program has on the community,” Dalziell said.

In addition to schools in the metropolitan area, the program took part in regional towns including Manjimup, Denmark, Kalgoorlie, Leonora, Kambalda, Newman, Port Hedland, and remote schools in Wiluna and Jigalong.

“We would also like to thank our Eagles Rock My School program partner Hawaiian,” Dalziell said.

“Their generous support means vast numbers of students and teachers can access this West Coast Eagles program free of charge.

“The program is wonderfully supported by WA’s teachers, and we appreciate their efforts in 2022 and we hope to have them involved once again this year.”
