The Eagles Rock My School program (“ERMS”) has enjoyed another successful season, visiting over 200 schools throughout Western Australia.

Every kid’s favourite mascot, Rick the Rock, joins former Eagles Brad Smith and David Hynes and program co-ordinator Kim Hannah for a fun and interactive education program which delivers key messages to students, including reaching your potential, reaching out to your community, respecting yourself, respecting others and respecting the environment.

In addition to schools in the metropolitan area, the program also visited a number of regions including Bunbury, Kojunup, Mt Barker, Denmark, Walpole, Yercoin, Dalwallinu, Carnamah, Morawa, Mingenew, Yalgoo, Cue and Mullewa.

The program is wonderfully supported by WA’s teachers and in appreciation for their efforts, West Coast rewards two lucky teachers each semester with signed merchandise.

The prize winners are drawn from a pool of teachers who had responded to surveys left at schools following ERMS visits and West Coast’s football department PA Melissa Kemp drew the winning entries at club headquarters this morning.

Grant Kennedy from North Balga Primary School won a West Coast guernsey signed by the entire squad, and Terry Harney from Kewdale Primary School is now the proud owner of a West Coast cap signed by coach John Worsfold and captain Darren Glass.
