With the junior football season on the horizon, the West Coast Eagles Community and Game Development staff recently traveled through the Wheatbelt alongside the West Australian Football Commission promoting Auskick and the benefits of getting involved in sport.

The club visited a number of locations to promote the upcoming Auskick season including towns such as Northam, Toodyay, York, Narrogin, and Katanning with schools from all townships also taking part in the Eagles Rock my School program.

Eagles Regional Community Officer Sam Rotham said the time spent within the Wheatbelt schools was thoroughly enjoyed by all and provided great excitement around the upcoming junior football season.

“It was great to spend some quality time in some of our Wheatbelt towns. It provided a great opportunity to deliver our Eagles Rock My School program to the local schools and deliver some really strong well-being messages,” Rotham said.

“We were also able to work closely with the WAFC to promote the upcoming Auskick season. The Auskick program provides a great platform for kids to get involved in the sport, meet some new friends, and stay physically active. The program ties in perfectly with the messages we communicate through our Eagles Rock My School program, so it was a perfect fit.

A massive thank you to all the schools for having us, and the students for being so well behaved and well mannered.”

The Eagles are committed to uniting, connecting and exciting communities regardless of geographical location.
