The West Coast Eagles have added both youth and experience to their extended squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with Carlton at Mineral Resources Park.

Teenage talent Zoe Wakfer is set to make her debut in the blue and gold, the developing defender a welcome inclusion into the Eagles backline.

Experienced defender Evie Gooch has been named in the extended squad, along with Beth Schilling, who has recently recovered from a hand injury that saw her sidelined for the start of the season.

Former Eagles Leading Goal Kicker Aimee Schmidt is an exciting inclusion, her ability to convert in front of goals will be a boost in West Coast’s forward 50.

Schmidt is joined in the 24-player squad by fellow forward Ella Smith, the Claremont Tigers product looking to extend on her two games from her 2022 debut season.

Shanae Davison (shoulder) and Eleanor Hartill (concussion) come out of the squad with injury and are both set to spend multiple weeks on the sidelines.

The final team of 21 players will be confirmed at 3pm AWST on Friday.
