West Coast’s WAFL side closed out the season with a tough 9.3 (57) to 22.12 (144) defeat to South Fremantle.
Senior Coach Kyal Horsley said it was a challenging game to end their season with South Fremantle playing a near flawless first half building a substantial lead that was hard to contest.
“At halftime, our players challenged each other, not just to compete, but to fight to the line and finish the year the right way.” Horsely said.
“What followed was a testament to their character. The group lifted, showed grit, and fought hard right to the end. As a coach, I couldn’t be prouder of their response.
“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the WAFL Eagles program. To our support staff, coaches, and players who dedicate their weeknights and weekends for nine months of the year, your commitment does not go unnoticed.
“And to the families who support those in the program, thank you for enabling them to do what they love.”
