West Coast Eagles midfielder Abbygail Bushby will be a test for this weekend’s clash with Sydney, after developing calf tightness in the second half of Friday night’s win over Geelong.
“Abby developed some tightness in her calf during the third quarter,” High Performance Manager Sam Batterton said.
“After an assessment from the medical team, we decided she would sit out in the fourth quarter.
“She will get a scan early this week to further assess, but at this stage she will be a test for this weekend.”
Experienced defender Belinda Smith is tracking well as she rehabilitates a hamstring injury sustained in round eight.
“Belinda has made good progress with her hamstring,” Batterton said.
“She will be introduced back into drills next week, and we will look to build up her training exposure.”
