Five West Coast Eagles stars have been recognised among the league’s best, earning nominations for the 2025 AFL Players’ AFLW MVP Awards presented by KPMG.

The celebrated honours, voted on by the AFLW playing group, will be announced on Tuesday, November 25.

Isabella Lewis, Charlotte Thomas, and Ella Roberts headline the club’s nominees for the AFL Players’ Most Valuable Player Award, following standout seasons in the blue and gold.

Newly appointed co-captains Lewis and Thomas have continued to thrive as leaders, guiding the Eagles to their first-ever finals appearance. A significant milestone in the club’s growth during its second season under Daisy Pearce.

Roberts backed up her stellar form in 2025 with a string of standout performances, earning selection in the final 22Under22 team and securing her second consecutive All-Australian squad honour.

Lewis and Thomas have also been acknowledged for their leadership, earning nominations for the Best Captain Award presented by Chartered Accountants ANZ.

Exciting young talent Lucia Painter has been recognised for her impressive debut campaign, securing a nomination for the Best First Year Player Award presented by P3 Recovery. Throughout the season, Painter also received a Rising Star nomination for her stunning round one performance as well as a spot on the 22Under22 team.

Versatile defender Jessica Rentsch has been recognised for her courage and resilience, earning a nomination for the Most Courageous Player Award presented by Tackle Your Feelings. Her impressive season included a Rising Star nod in round nine, highlighting her elite skills and strength across the year.

Voting for the AFLW MVP Awards is a two-stage process, with players first nominating three teammates before selecting from a competition-wide field. Players cannot vote for someone from their own club in the second stage.

The winners will be revealed on Tuesday, November 25.
