Six new Eagles will get their wings in round one with midfield tough nut Deven Robertson and key defender Tylar Young confirmed to make their West Coast debuts.

Robertson and Young will join first-round draftees Willem Duursma, Cooper Duff-Tytler and Josh Lindsay, plus mature-age recruit Milan Murdock, by pulling on the blue and gold against Gold Coast.

Ex-Lion Robertson follows in the footsteps of his uncle Darren Glass, the 2006 premiership player and former captain, in representing West Coast.

Young was traded from Richmond at the end of 2025 and will hold down a key defensive post in a backline set to be boosted by co-captain Liam Duggan and Reuben Ginbey's returns.

Duggan missed both pre-season clashes due to concussion, while Ginbey has been managing a toe issue.

Experienced onballers Tim Kelly and Jack Graham are in the extended squad after overcoming hamstring strains, while recruit Fin Macrae is also in the 26-player squad.

West Coast’s 23-player team will be finalised on Friday at 2pm AWST.

Graham is in line for his 150th career match after making 131 appearances and winning two premierships for the Tigers.

In what will be a sight for sore eyes, dual Club Champion Elliot Yeo is set to make his long-awaited comeback to AFL action after a season ruined by knee and ankle issues.

The Eagles’ clash with the Suns begins at 5.10pm (3.10pm AWST) on Sunday at People First Stadium and will be broadcast live in WA on 7 and 7-plus, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
