The West Coast Eagles are set to welcome back a number of key players for this Sunday’s Western Derby at Optus Stadium.
Star midfielder Elliot Yeo has been named in the extended squad following a groin complaint that he sustained in the Eagles’ round three win over Port Adelaide.
Yeo's impending return is a huge boost for West Coast’s engine room, bringing experience and poise to a young midfield group that features the likes of Willem Duursma, Harley Reid and Elijah Hewett.
Exciting recruit Milan Murdock is also available after overcoming a hamstring injury in round two, with the fan-favourite set to play in his first Western Derby.
Murdock, who joined the club just two weeks before round one, debuted in the Eagles’ season-opener against Gold Coast and instantly had an impact with four goals and 15 tackles in two games so far.
Yeo and Murdock are joined in the squad by veteran forward Jamie Cripps, ruck Matt Flynn and defender Ryan Maric.
Deven Robertson has unfortunately been ruled out for the remainder of the season after rupturing his ACL in last week’s clash with Geelong, while Jack Graham also comes out of the side with a shoulder injury.
West Coast's final 23-player team and three emergencies will be confirmed at 3pm AWST on Friday.
The Derby starts at 3:10pm AWST and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7-plus in WA, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
