The WAFL Eagles have finalised their team for Sunday’s clash with Swan Districts, with Jamie Cripps set to bolster the side and talented draftee Fred Rodriguez taking the field for his first game in blue and gold.
AFL premiership forward Jamie Cripps headlines the inclusions, adding experience and leadership across the half-forward line along with scoreboard impact and defensive pressure.
All eyes will also be on Rodriguez, who has been named among the interchange and will be on managed minutes in his return from a foot stress fracture.
The Eagles swooped on the dual‑footed midfielder from South Fremantle when he was surprisingly overlooked in the national draft, selecting him with the first pick in the rookie draft.
Rodriguez was one of Western Australia’s most consistent young prospects over the past two seasons, renowned for his two‑way running and composed approach around the contest.
Sam Cipriani also comes into the side, while Ryan Maric, Jack Williams and Malakai Champion have been elevated to AFL duties.
Be there at Mineral Resources Park on Sunday for a 1.10pm start as the Eagles aim for three wins in a row.
