West Coast has added an emerging trio to its extended squad for Sunday’s marquee WA Day eve clash against Essendon at Optus Stadium.
No.4 draft pick Cooper Duff-Tytler and midfield duo Tom Gross and Clay Hall have been added to the 23 that pushed Collingwood in a 10-point loss at the MCG.
Duff-Tytler impressed for the WAFL Eagles last round, kicking two goals from 15 disposals and winning 19 hit-outs, after being managed the previous week.
Gross picked up 22 touches with seven inside 50s, laid four tackles and booted two goals, continuing his strong WAFL form.
Gross and Hall – who had 13 disposals and a goal – are pushing for their first AFL appearances this season.
Prized recruit Brandon Starcevich will play another match in the WAFL after returning on managed minutes in his first game for the 2026 season last round against East Fremantle.
The Eagles will trim their 26-man squad to a final 23 on Friday at 3pm AWST.
West Coast will don the historic black and gold colours against Essendon, celebrating all things WA and bringing fans together in State pride.
The match starts at 5.20pm on Sunday and will be broadcast live nationally on the Seven Network (7mate in WA) and 7-plus, as well as Fox Footy and Kayo (check broadcast guide).
