As part of All the Way West, the club continues to recognise a Member of the Round at every West Coast Eagles home and away match in 2026, celebrating those members whose passion and commitment help bring the club to life each week.
For Round 14, we’re proud to celebrate Chris (Christine), a passionate and dedicated supporter whose game-day journey is just as impressive as her unwavering loyalty to the blue and gold.
A lifelong passion
For Chris, being a West Coast Eagles member isn’t just support — it’s something much deeper.
“Being a proud Eagles member means everything,” she says.
A lifelong AFL fan, Chris has been part of the club’s journey from the beginning, riding every high and low along the way.
“I have loved being part of the club’s journey from the beginning,” she says. “Supporting the team through every high and low has made their achievements feel even more special.”
Moments that stay with you
When it comes to unforgettable memories, Chris doesn’t hesitate.
“The final minutes of the 2018 Grand Final,” she says.
“The tension, the pressure, the heart-stopping finish — reliving that moment would bring back the pure adrenaline and joy of watching the team hold on for an unforgettable win.”
It’s a moment that lives on not just as a highlight, but as a feeling shared with the entire Eagles community.
Game day, Chris style
Game day for Chris is a full journey, and a ritual she embraces every time.
“It starts with pulling on the blue and gold merch,” she says.
From there, it’s a trip from Bunbury to Mandurah, before hopping on the train to Optus Stadium. The journey is just as important as the destination.
“Pre-game catch-ups with friends, then photos to capture and share the atmosphere on social media,” she explains.
And when it’s all said and done, it’s back home, and another game day experience to add to the collection.
A rising star to watch
Among the current playing group, one young Eagle has really caught Chris’s attention.
“Jobe Shanahan,” she says. “He’s incredibly athletic, versatile, and has a massive future ahead.”
With each game, she sees more signs of what’s to come.
“Every game he plays shows more of what he’s capable of, and it’s exciting watching him grow.”
A message to the team
Chris’s message to the players is simple, powerful and full of belief:
“Play hard. Believe in yourselves and your teammates. Use the crowd’s energy to lift — and go get the win.”
Through All the Way West, members like Chris remind us that being part of the Eagles community goes far beyond game day. It’s about commitment, connection and the lengths fans will go — quite literally — to be part of something bigger.
