West Coast’s recruits have locked in their new guernsey numbers ahead of the 2027 campaign.
Jack Viney is set to take the No.15 worn with distinction by recently retired Eagle Jamie Cripps, while Trent Rivers will wear the No.24 made famous by dual premiership captain John Worsfold.
After wearing No.7 throughout his 14 seasons at Melbourne, Viney will take the guernsey worn by 2018 premiership forward Cripps in 261 games from 2013 until his retirement this year.
Fellow ex-Demon Rivers will retain a familiar number at his new home, continuing in the No.24 guernsey he wore across seven seasons in red and blue.
Rivers donned No.24 in all 140 of his games for Melbourne, including the 2021 premiership triumph.
He will now carry the number synonymous with West Coast Legend Worsfold over his 209-game career into his next chapter in blue and gold.
Meanwhile, 2026 Mid-Season Rookie Draft selection Marcus Herbert will make the switch from No.51 to the revered No.30 guernsey.
Herbert became the first player in West Coast history to wear No.51 and will now take on a number etched into Eagles folklore by club Legend and dual premiership player Peter Matera.
Matera famously wore No.30 for all-but five games of his decorated 253-game career, highlighted by his Norm Smith Medal winning performance in the 1992 Grand Final.
West Coast’s latest batch of draftees will have the opportunity to select from the remaining available numbers, with 10, 16, 29 and 34 among the guernseys up for grabs.
