The families of West Coast’s AFLW players were welcomed to Mineral Resources Park on Saturday morning for a special induction event ahead of the 2026 season.
The morning provided families with an insight into the high-performance environment and the people helping drive the AFLW program forward.
Guests were welcomed with morning tea before taking part in a series of education sessions focused on supporting their athletes throughout the demands of an AFLW season.
The club’s dietitian and performance psychologist presented on the role families play in helping athletes perform both on and off the field, while providing valuable information on player wellbeing, nutrition and support systems.
Senior coach Daisy Pearce addressed the group, introducing the coaching staff and sharing an overview of the program’s progress, ambitions and goals heading into the new season.
Head of Women’s Football Michelle Cowan also presented to families, outlining the club’s values and the important role they play in shaping the culture of the AFLW program.
Families were then given a behind-the-scenes tour of the club’s facilities, offering a glimpse into the environment where the players train, prepare and recover throughout the season.
The morning concluded with guests watching the AFLW squad train, providing a firsthand look at the professionalism, commitment and standards being set as the Eagles continue preparations for the 2026 season.
