For the third time this season, the West Coast Eagles will go unchanged into Saturday’s battle with the Brisbane Lions at Optus Stadium.
While the team didn’t get the desired result last round against the Bulldogs, the Eagles delivered a competitive performance on the road, and the coaches have backed in the same lineup to take it to the reigning premiers this weekend.
Brandon Starcevich will face his former club for the first time in his new colours, after playing 132 games and winning two flags with the Lions.
Starcevich had an interrupted start to the season with injury but has been an important contributor since making his debut in the blue and gold in round 13 against Port Adelaide.
Ryan Maric, Harvey Johnston and Harry Schoenberg have been named as emergencies.
Saturday’s game will be recognised as Emergency Services Round, dedicated to the West Australian first responders, celebrating and honoring local heroes, volunteers and organisations that strengthen and support our community.
DFES, WAPOL and St John will be at Optus Stadium throughout the game, taking over Fan Zone with a number of activities including hose bowling, giant snakes and ladders, VR firefighting, canine meet and greet and vehicle tours.
There will also be a DFES v WAPOL ("Firedogs v WAPOL Hogs") curtain raiser game played on Optus Stadium in the lead up to the AFL match.
West Coast v Brisbane will commence at 6:10pm and will be broadcast live on 7 and 7plus in WA and QLD, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
