Where and when: RSEA Park, Sunday, September 20, 3:05pm (1:05pm WST)

Last time we met: West Coast Eagles 6.6 (42) defeated St Kilda 4.4 (28) at RSEA Park.

The Eagles produced an incredible fourth-quarter effort to secure the win over St Kilda in round three last season. After the Saints dominated the first three quarters, Kayla Dalgleish and Ella Roberts kicked two goals each in the final term to bring the Eagles back in it, with Roberts finishing with 23 disposals, nine marks, seven tackles.

What it means for the Eagles: West Coast are coming off an inspiring victory over Brisbane last weekend, an overdue reward for the hard work the team has been putting in on the training track. While it was the first win of the season, there has been positive signs all season of this group’s development, and they will be looking to take their momentum into this weekend against the Saints and secure back-to-back victories.

Oppo in focus: Tyanna Smith

St Kilda midfielder Tyanna Smith will be one for the Eagles to keep an eye on this weekend, the Saint’s 2025 best and fairest winner in hot form so far this season. Smith comes into this game off an impressive performance last round, managing 17 touches and six tackles in her team’s 15-point loss to Richmond.

It’s a big week for: Jess Rentsch

Ferocious defender Jess Rentsch will suit up for her first game of the season, after suffering a foot injury in the lead up to round one. Rentsch is renowned for her tackling pressure and competitive nature, and will be a huge boost for the Eagles’ back half on the weekend.

Big call: Key forward Amy Franklin will build on her two-goal game from last week and kick three or more goals against the Saints.
