In spite of only playing 23 games, Oscar Allen has already established himself as the ultimate team player, with the ability to plug any holes his coach sees fit. He split his time between playing forward, back and in the ruck in 2019, primarily assisting big-man Tom Hickey as a pinch-hitting ruckman, performing admirably for someone so often outsized in the role. Allen booted 20 goals from his 21 games in 2019 and with maturity beyond his years will no doubt establish himself at the level in the coming years.

Standout performance: A Giant effort

Allen was one of the Eagles’ better players in the 2019 season-opener, but his performance against Greater Western Sydney in round two cemented his spot in the club's best-22. Against one of the premiership fancies, Allen was superb up forward, booting three goals in West Coast's big win.
