The selection panel has recalled revered skipper Shannon Hurn, who missed the club’s wins over Melbourne and North Melbourne due to a calf strain.

Hurn was close to resuming against the Kangaroos, but medical staff erred on the side of caution and gave him another week to get up to speed.

He comes into the starting 22 at the expense of developing defender Francis Watson, who has been omitted after two exciting outings at the top level.

Watson is listed as an emergency for the game along with emerging ruck-forward Bailey Williams, plus premiership players Tom Cole and Mark Hutchings.

Barring any late changes, confirmation of the final team ensures that two Eagles will reach noteworthy milestones in Melbourne on Sunday.

Elliot Yeo will play his 150th AFL game (27 with Brisbane, 123 at West Coast), while Jackson Nelson will register his 50th outing in blue and gold.
