The West Coast Eagles this morning unveiled its brand campaign as part of the club's official launch of the 2015 season.

As the first AFL club of Australia’s biggest state, West Coast’s campaign this year has sought to embody the notion of inclusion, rather than ownership, with one bold statement: The West is Ours.

Screening online, as well as on Foxtel and GWN from March 23, the brand video showcases some breathtaking Western Australian icons, while exploring a range of key values, including community, family and belonging, highlighting the role of the club’s fans and their importance to the West Coast Eagles.

The club’s brand statement, published below, seeks to include all supporters and acknowledges the part they play in West Coast’s success.

Fans right across Western Australia, and indeed the world, will be encouraged to live by this statement throughout season 2015 and promote their corner of the globe as West Coast Eagles territory through social media using the #thewestisours hashtag together with their location, e.g. #thewestissubiaco.

Entrants for the ‘Show Us Where The West Is’ competition will be in with a chance to win an eight-person VIP box at the Carlton Draught Derby in round three.

West Coast Eagles chief executive Trevor Nisbett is looking forward to seeing some creative entries from members and supporters.

“The campaign is a great opportunity for West Coast fans to show us their support, no matter where they live,” Nisbett said.

“We know that Eagles supporters are spread right across the world and we look forward to seeing which cities and towns boast the highest percentage of blue and gold.

“The video is visually spectacular and really highlights what it means to be a West Coast Eagles fan. We hope it will get our members and supporters excited about the season ahead.”
