The Eagles will welcome back a number of exciting talents for its first official battle with the Royals, including dashing defender Kurt Mutimer, crafty small forward Jarrod Cameron and midfield bull Brady Grey.

Mutimer missed the club’s round five stoush with South Fremantle after being held over for the AFL side’s clash with Gold Coast, while Cameron (wrist) and Grey (quad) were absent due to injury.

Experienced ruckman Tom Hickey is in the mix to play his first WAFL game after being named on an extended bench alongside Joel Kalajzic, Kieran Hug, Joel Ashman, Alex Coe, Mitchel Curnow and Grey.

Hickey’s inclusion would be a huge boost for senior coach Luke Webster and Keegan Brooksby, who has shouldered the ruck load through the first five rounds of the season.

If the 28-year-old gets the nod to face East Perth, it might allow Brooksby to start in the attacking 50 to add more height to a forward line that already boasts captain Fraser McInnes and the spring-heeled Bailey Williams.

The Eagles could be boosted by the inclusion of at least two more senior players, but that will be confirmed once the AFL side is announced at 4.25pm tomorrow.

West Coast goes to war with East Perth from 7.10pm tomorrow.
