West Coast star Jeremy McGovern has been nominated for the Rebel Mark of the Year for his hanger against Greater Western Sydney.
The four-time All Australian defender climbed high onto the back of Giants forward Harry Himmelberg and hung in the air during the second quarter on Sunday, sending the blue and gold army into raptures.
It was one of eight intercept marks dragged down by McGovern during a best afield display and by far the most spectacular.
Now he needs your support to claim the best mark from round 13.
McGovern is up against Richmond backman Dylan Grimes and Brisbane spearhead Eric Hipwood for the best grab of the week, as voted by the fans.
Supporters can cast their vote for McGovern’s speccy at https://markoftheyear.afl/vote/round/13.
All voters who pick a weekly winner will go into the draw to win $10,000.
At the end of the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership Season the League will nominate three marks for the public to vote on for the season’s best grab.
McGovern’s fellow key defensive pillar Tom Barrass is already in contention after winning the best marks in rounds five and six this season.
High-flying Eagle Liam Ryan took out the award last season for his spectacular grab over Melbourne giant Max Gawn in round nine.
