Midfield coach Nathan van Berlo will depart West Coast at the completion of the club’s finals campaign.

The former Adelaide captain has informed the club that he is returning to the Crows to take up an assistant coaching role.

Van Berlo joined West Coast in October 2017 after spending that season as a development coach at Adelaide.

West Coast General Manager – Football Craig Vozzo thanked the 34-year-old for his commitment across the past three seasons.

“We respect Nathan’s decision to return to South Australia for family reasons,” Vozzo said.

“He has been a valued contributor to Adam Simpson’s coaching group since arriving at the club, initially as a midfield and stoppages coach.

“We thank Nathan for his hard work and commitment to date, and look forward to him helping us launch what we hope will be a successful finals campaign against Collingwood next Saturday night.”
