The West Coast Eagles WAFL side put up a strong fight on the weekend but were pipped at the post by Swan Districts in a five-point loss.

Find out how our Eagles-listed players went in the contest.

Jarrod Brander

Played a bit of inside mid, and a bit of outside and forward. He’s been really strong in the contest and we’ve really loved what we’ve seen from Jarrod. It’s been great to see him take the game on.

Luke Edwards, Zane Trew & Isiah Winder

Have been fantastic, and embraced playing for our jumper, getting to know their teammates, and playing to their strengths. There’s a lot to like about our three new recruits, they’re really impressive young men and they’ve got a lot of great upside.

Brendon Ah Chee

He’s come back into our WAFL program and has shown great leadership and taken on a lot of responsibility. He’s been helping out not only the coaching staff but his new teammates and players around him. He’s playing to his strengths, he’s hitting the scoreboard and impacting the contest.

Alex Witherden

Shown a great improvement over the summer, making his way over from Brisbane. He will no doubt forge his way into the AFL side, he’s got a great penetrating kick, he uses the ball well, he’s strong around the footy. We’re really impressed with what he’s done over the summer, he’ll earn his spot no doubt in the AFL side.

Harry Edwards

So will Harry Edwards. He’s really starting to attack the ball in the air and in the contest.

Luke Foley

He continues to grow as a young player, he got a taste last year and hopefully more things to come as he goes forward.
