Led by tour guides Terri and Bob, the 35 young Eagles fans began the tour by ascending to level five, to take in sweeping views across the oval.

The tour guides shared a plethora of fun facts with the members; did you know that the big screens at Optus Stadium are the same dimensions as the club’s warm up area?

Before descending to the lower levels of the venue, the group stopped at the Sky View Lounge to admire the breathtaking views of the Swan River, East Perth and beyond from the terrace.

Terri and Bob then led the group down to level four and through the away team’s coaches box, before stopping at the stadium’s media centre.

The members had the chance to see the oval from a different perspective, taking in the view that journalists and broadcasters would experience on match day.

This stop came with more trivia from the tour leaders; did you know that this area of Optus Stadium is known as the Dennis Cometti Media Centre, name after the famous WA commentator?

Heading down to ground level, the Rising Stars were beyond excited as they made their way to the next stop, the West Coast Eagles rooms.

The teens entered the club facilities through the same door their favourite players go through on game day and sat in the same lecture theatre where Adam Simpson gives his pre-match addresses to the team.

Following this, the group entered the inner sanctum, the West Coast Eagles locker rooms, and relished the chance to take a selfie with Nic Naitanui and Josh Kennedy’s lockers.

From there, the members emulated their football heroes and entered the field through the very same race the team runs through before every home game, before taking a seat on the interchange bench.

Another location, another fact from the tour guides; did you know that when Optus Stadium was first built it, was decided which club (West Coast or Fremantle) would claim which rooms by flipping a coin?

After a short stop to see where the post-game press conferences are held, the group rounded out the tour by visiting Fremantle’s locker room and warm up room, as well as the Eagles’ warm up area.
