West Coast’s match committee has opted for speed in the final 22 to combat Richmond in Sunday’s blockbuster against the reigning premier at Optus Stadium.

After subbing in midway through the second quarter for Brad Sheppard (concussion) against Carlton last round, small forward Jamaine Jones’ two-goal, four-tackle effort has helped him find a spot in the 22 to face the Tigers.

And with Bailey Williams (hamstring) sidelined, the Eagles could rely on Oscar Allen or Harry Edwards to support Nic Naitanui in the ruck following the decision not to include Nathan Vardy as Williams’ replacement in the final team.

Last week’s debutant Luke Edwards and third-gamer Luke Foley have both held their spots on the bench, alongside recruit Zac Langdon following arguably his career-best game with 20-disposals, one-goal effort against the Blues.

Mobile forward Jake Waterman and midfielder Xavier O’Neill (both omitted) are emergencies.

They, along with Vardy and versatile tall Jarrod Brander, who missed last round with an adductor issue, remain chances to be named medical sub for the 5.20pm bouncedown.
