Recruited from Peel Thunder in the 2021 AFLW Draft Courtney Rowley burst onto the scene in her second season of AFLW developing into one of the Eagles’ most promising midfielders. Rowley had her most improved season in the latter half of 2022 averaging 10.3 disposals, 2.9 tackles and 124.5 metres gained. The 19-year-old emerged one of the Eagles’ toughest players known for her incredible tackling ability bringing down some of the league’s top midfielders. Prior to her time in the AFLW Rowley was one was the state's top ranked midfielder in the AFLW academy and collected an average of 22.7 disposals along with more than nine tackles per match in the AFL Women's Under 19 Championships and was crowned the WAFLW’s best and fairest in 2019.
