Knights joined the Eagles in 2022 after a life-time of experiences in the game – 279 games in an outstanding playing career at Richmond, twice winning the Jack Dyer Medal.
He was senior coach at Essendon for three seasons (2008-10).
In 2012 he coached the Geelong VFL team to the premiership and was an intrinsic cog in the Cats AFL coaching structure for a decade before being lured west to begin the next chapter of his football journey.
