Prior to his coaching career, Dean Irving played Australian rules football with West Coast and Melbourne during the 1990s. Irving, who came to West Coast from South Fremantle, played as a ruckman and debuted for West Coast in the opening round during the 1990 season. Irving now coaches with West Coast’s AFLW side as a Rucks & Key Position Coach.
