It will be a race to decide the fastest in the west when West Coast and Fremantle players go head-to-head in the Colgate AFL Grand Final Sprint this Saturday.

Eagles speedsters Jack Petruccelle, Liam Ryan, Josh Rotham and Tom Cole will battle it out for bragging rights against four Dockers in the time-honoured tradition on Grand Final day.

The players will sprint along a 50m arc at Optus Stadium, with Colgate making a $5000 donation to Ladder, an organisation providing young people mentoring and support, on behalf of the winner.

"The Colgate AFL Grand Final sprint is one of the much loved traditions of Grand Final Day. This year seeing our two Western Australian based teams compete will be an exciting match up for all AFL fans," AFL Executive General Manager of Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers, said.

"To have eight of the fastest Western Australian players showcase their athletic talent on one of the biggest days in the Australian sporting calendar will be a thrill."
