Every youngster can only dream of making their debut at Optus Stadium against cross-town rivals Fremantle - a dream Abbygail Bushby will get to live out on Thursday.

A member of this year’s draft intake, the 18-year-old has worked relentlessly each week for selection.

An opportunity opened for Bushby to get her shot when Jessica Sedunary pulled up with a calf injury last weekend in a key loss for the Eagles.

Bushby, a versatile left footer, has improved quickly over the last few months, being one of the clear success stories out of the pre-season campaign.

Likely to slot into an outside midfield position, Bushby will have the fitness and talent to be able to deliver possessions into forward 50 plus and take the game on with her explosive speed.

There were no other changes to the side following their victory against the Giants in round four with newcomers Jaide Britton and Eleanor Hartill retaining their spots in the team.

Senior coach Michael Prior highlighted that midfield superiority and pressure will be key against the Dockers' experienced side.

Hayley Bullas, Krystel Petrevski and Ella Smith have all been placed on the emergency list for the match after solid contributions at training recently.
