Six players have been added to the West Coast Eagles’ extended squad ahead of Sunday’s clash against Port Adelaide.

After impressing in the WAFL Eagles’ win over Subiaco, Noah Long, Matt Owies, Tom Gross, Tom Cole and Rhett Bazzo have been included in the 26-player squad.

Emerging utility Tyrell Dewar is also back in the mix after missing the past two games with a hamstring complaint.

West Coast will finalise its 23-player team at 3pm AWST on Friday.

Three players have already been omitted following the 59-point defeat to the Giants, with Tim Kelly, Bo Allan and Sandy Brock left out of the upcoming trip to Adelaide Oval.

Coming off a calf injury, Owies (four goals) combined with Long (three) to form a dangerous small forward brigade against Subiaco last Saturday.

Gross and Bazzo have been in outstanding form recently, while Cole made a successful return from a hamstring complaint after a strong run of form prior to his injury.

Bazzo is a chance to play his first AFL game this year after building continuity in 12 State League matches, while Cole is aiming to return in premiership teammate Jamie Cripps’ 250th game for the club.

Ruckman Matt Flynn and forward Tyler Brockman will both reach 50 career games if named in the final 23.

Bouncedown for Sunday’s clash is at 4.10pm (2.40pm AWST), with the match broadcast live in WA on Channel 7 and 7-plus, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
