Exciting youngsters Elijah Hewett and Archer Reid have been recalled into the West Coast Eagles line-up for Saturday’s RAC Derby.
Explosive midfielder Hewett returns after being managed last round, while rangy tall forward Reid is back for his first AFL match since round 13.
The Eagles have settled on the two changes for the ‘away’ clash against Fremantle, with Jack Williams and Jack Petruccelle both omitted.
West Coast’s developing squad are outsiders for the crosstown battle and will be gunning for an upset in a hostile environment.
Fremantle has won the past two encounters while the overall win-loss record stands at 33-27 in the Eagles’ favour.
Saturday’s RAC Derby will be the first taste of the WA rivalry game for Eagles quartet Matt Flynn, Clay Hall, Jobe Shanahan and Tom McCarthy.
Bouncedown is at 2.15pm and the match will be broadcast live in WA on Channel 7 and 7-plus, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
