Premiership heroes Jeremy McGovern and Dom Sheed will be farewelled in front of the West Coast Eagles faithful at Optus Stadium in the round 22 clash with Adelaide.
Fans will have the opportunity to acknowledge and thank the pair for their incredible contributions to the blue and gold over the years, after both announced their retirement last month.
During the halftime break, McGovern and Sheed will be participating in an on-field Q&A and saying their final goodbyes to West Coast’s members and fans who have supported them throughout their journeys.
Both players are West Coast Eagles Life Members, with reigning John Worsfold medallist and five-time All-Australian star McGovern finishing with 197 games under his belt.
Sheed notched up 165 games and was the joint Player of the Finals in 2018 with Jack Redden, and runner-up Club Champion in 2021.
Among many achievements over remarkable careers, McGovern and Sheed will forever be remembered as the bookends in the match-winning passage of play in the 2018 Grand Final, and fittingly they will bow out together.
