The Eagles Rock My School programme continues to be a highlight in the primary school calendar delivering fun, inspiring and engaging sessions that leave a lasting impact on students.
During Term 3, the programme visited 40 schools held 69 sessions and connected with over 9000 students across WA.
Rick the Rock, the beloved West Coast Eagles mascot was once again a crowd favourite. His energy, humour and heartfelt storytelling captivated students and created an atmosphere of excitement and joy. A key moment in each session was Ricks story about his friendship with the West Coast Eagles co-captain Liam Duggan. This narrative not only entertained but also served as a powerful teaching tool about the importance of positive friendships and supportive relationships.
Students were introduced to the concept of a growth mindset, learning how to embrace challenges, persist through setbacks and celebrate effort and improvement. The programme successfully blended entertainment with education, making key social-emotional learning concepts accessible and memorable for young audiences. Through interactive activities, storytelling and mascot lead engagement students explored the value of kindness and empathy in friendships, strategies for developing a resilient mindset and the importance of teamwork and respect both in and out of the classroom.
Feedback from schools highlighted the program’s ability to inspire students to think positively and act kindly, engage diverse learners through dynamic presentation styles and create memorable experiences that reinforce classroom learning.
