Former West Coast Eagles stars Josh Kennedy and Nic Naitanui have both been inducted in the WA Football Hall of Fame on Monday night, adding another accolade to their illustrious careers.

The pair are joined by former Geelong defender Harry Taylor, a Northampton local who joined the Eagles in 2025 as a Performance Leadership Consultant.

Kennedy retired in 2022 after 271 games in the blue and gold, holding the title of the club’s all-time leading goal scorer, with 712 goals.

The elite forward carved out an incredible career for himself, winning back-to-back Coleman Medals in 2015 and 2016, and was named in the All-Australian team in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The Northampton product also went on to play an important role in the Eagles’ 2018 premiership, further solidifying his status among the greats.

Swan Districts star Naitanui was drafted to West Coast in 2008, playing 213 games for the club and making a name for himself as one of the best ruckmen in the League.

While an achilles injury ultimately ended Naitanui’s career prematurely, it was not before he earned three All-Australian blazers, in 2012, 2020 and 2021, and back-to-back Club Champion awards in 2020 and 2021.

Naitanui has had a profound impact in the football community, both on and off the field, including his work with the Eagles’ Naitanui Academy - an initiative to help increase the talent pool of indigenous and multicultural players in the game.

Drafted from East Fremantle, Taylor retired from Geelong in 2020 after a stellar 280 games for the Cats, highlighted with two premierships (2009 and 2011) and two All-Australian selections (2010 and 2013).

Kennedy, Naitanui and Taylor were inducted alongside David Mundy, James Clement, Alan East and Phil Kelly, further recognising and celebrating the strong history of football in WA.
