Forward-ruck Archer Reid is expected to be available for West Coast within the next two-to-four weeks, while recruit Brandon Starcevich is edging closer to playing his first game for the season.
Reid has missed the past two matches with a knee complaint but is rebuilding his training loads ahead of his return.
“Archer’s knee has settled clinically and he’s now in a reload phase, which he is expected to work through over the coming weeks,” High Performance Manager Phil Merriman said.
Recruit Brandon Starcevich is also advancing in his recovery from a calf injury and is aiming to be match ready within the next two-to-three weeks.
“Brandon is now entering the bulk of football training, and focusing on his performance block,” Merriman said.
Draftee Sam Allen continues to make encouraging progress in his rehabilitation from a knee reconstruction, with the midfielder building towards availability in the next three-to-four weeks.
“Sam is now in unrestricted training, we’re really excited to see his athletic abilities out there on show,” Merriman said.
Midfielder Jack Graham has received positive signs following shoulder surgery and has been cleared by the surgeon to commence running as he begins his next stage of recovery.
“Jack has been given the tick from the surgeon to run and sweat, so he’ll now begin his run loading,” Merriman said.
“That gives us plenty of time to get him nice and fit prior to his return.”
Tom Cole was assessed after hurting his knee against Richmond and will be available to play this weekend.
Deven Robertson has commenced gym-based work following his knee surgery while Tyler Brockman (knee) is set to progress into running, with his return timeframe to be confirmed.
