The West Coast Eagles congratulate Board member Ben Wyatt and Club great Chris Lewis on being recognised in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours.
Wyatt has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO), recognising his distinguished service to the Western Australian community, including his contribution to public life, Indigenous affairs and the not-for-profit sector.
A respected leader both within the Club and more broadly across WA, former State treasurer Wyatt has made a significant impact through his work in government and business, and has played an important role on the Eagles’ Board of Directors since 2021.
Lewis has been honoured with a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM), reflecting his lasting contribution to football and the broader community.
A key member of the 1992 and ’94 premierships, Lewis remains one of the most respected figures in West Coast history and has inspired generations of players and supporters.
The 215-gamer was Club Champion and an All-Australian in 1990, selected in the Indigenous Team of the Century in 2005 and an inaugural inductee into West Coast’s Hall of Fame.
