West Coast Eagles defender Reuben Ginbey has today consulted a specialist and been advised that he will not require surgery on his quad injury at this stage.
Ginbey sustained the injury during the third quarter of Saturday night’s clash against Port Adelaide and underwent scans on Sunday.
“This is a positive outcome for Reuben,” High Performance Manager Phil Merriman said.
“He will now commence his rehabilitation program, with a clearer timeframe for his return to play expected as his recovery progresses.”
