The West Coast Eagles have secured two promising talents, with Ryan Maric and Milan Murdock signing two-year contract extensions.

The pair have impressed with their development and commitment since arriving at the Eagles and are part of an emerging group driving the club’s future.

By extending their deals, Maric and Murdock are now contracted at West Coast until the end of 2028.

Maric, 21, has played 60 games since he was selected with pick no.1 in the 2023 Mid-Season Rookie Draft and is excited by the direction of the playing group.

“We have got so much young talent around and I feel like we are all building into something special,” Maric said.

“It’s an exciting place to be and I’m just stoked for what the future holds for us all.

“Personally, I feel like I’m only just scratching the surface.”

Murdock, who has made a strong early impression since joining the club during the 2026 Supplemental Selection Period, was looking forward to continuing his journey in blue and gold.

The 25-year-old dominated at WAFL level before earning his AFL opportunity and has made every moment count.

Murdock made his debut in round one against Gold Coast and has kicked 10 goals in 11 games while matching up on the opposition’s damaging half-backs.

“I am incredibly grateful to the players, coaching staff and the club for their belief in me,” Milan said.

“I am fully committed to the work ahead and look forward to building a winning culture for our members and fans.”

West Coast Eagles Head of List Management and Recruiting Matt Clarke said the pair had earned their extensions through strong habits and consistent growth.

“Milan has made a quick impression since arriving a few months ago and has shown great commitment to his development,” Clarke said.

“He’s a terrific club person with a strong work ethic, and he has been infectious both on and off field since arriving. It is a credit to Milan and the coaches for the progress he has made.

"Ryan has shown strong work ethic, commitment to his development and versatility that is important in today’s game.

“We’re pleased with the progress he’s made and look forward to seeing his continued growth over the next two years."
