Delivered thanks to the generous support of Hawaiian, ERMS provides schools with engaging educational experiences that promote positive values, wellbeing and school connectedness. The partnership continues to help the program reach communities across the state, creating meaningful learning opportunities for students.
A highlight of the term was the involvement of West Coast Eagles players, who visited students through Hawaiian’s school program to deliver interactive football clinics. The sessions encouraged students to stay active, work together and enjoy the benefits of physical activity while learning from positive role models at the club. Adding to the excitement was the ever-popular Rick the Rock, whose entertaining antics brought energy and laughter wherever he went. Whether he was dancing at assemblies, joining football activities or engaging with students, Rick helped create memorable experiences that reinforced the program’s positive messages.
Beyond the fun and football, ERMS continued to focus on important social and emotional learning. This term, students explored the friendship between Rick the Rock and West Coast Eagles defender Brady Hough, learning about the value of surrounding themselves with people who encourage them to be their best.
Through storytelling, interactive discussions and practical examples, students were challenged to think about the qualities of positive friendships and how good friends can influence our choices and behaviours. The message highlighted that true friends do more than simply agree with us; they encourage us to improve, show respect, make positive decisions, and grow into the best versions of ourselves.
By combining engaging characters, AFL player role models and meaningful wellbeing messages, Eagles Rock My School continues to provide schools with a unique educational experience that supports both student wellbeing and positive school culture.
