The West Coast Eagles are proud to announce Impact Round supporting Telethon for the Club’s round 22 match against Collingwood at Optus Stadium on Sunday, August 9.
The Eagles have partnered with Telethon since 2008 and are proud to deepen that support by dedicating a home game to raising funds for WA children living with illness, disability and disadvantage.
“Telethon is a WA institution that the entire community rallies around and our Club is proud to launch Impact Round supporting Telethon to use the power of football to back this important cause,” West Coast Eagles CEO Don Pyke said.
To support the fundraising effort, West Coast has today launched the 'Take Your Seat for WA Kids’ virtual seats campaign, bringing our members, fans and community together in the build up to the Impact Round match.
Virtual seats will be available to purchase at donate.wce.com.au with 100 per cent of the funds going directly to Telethon.
Donations fund life-changing programs, specialised equipment and vital medical research and the West Coast Eagles will match every virtual seat purchase for the first 24 hours, up to the value of $50,000.
“Buying a virtual seat is a simple way for our members, fans and wider community to make a real difference and our Club will match donations up to $50,000 made over the first 24 hours,” Pyke said.
“Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create lasting impact for WA kids and helps to ensure vulnerable children can access the care and services they need, when they need them most.”
Virtual seats can be personalised with the purchaser’s name or those people important to them and range from:
- $10 for juniors
- $20 for individuals
- $50 for families of four
- $200 for a row
- $2000 for a corporate box
Supporters attending the round 22 gameday against Collingwood can also donate via QR codes at Optus Stadium.
“It’s great to have Impact Round supporting Telethon, which is a great cause helping out kids in need,” West Coast Eagles AFL co-captain Liam Duggan said.
“We’re trying to sell as many virtual seats as we can so it would be great for the WA community to get around Telethon, for people to reach in and find any donation they can.
“Impact Round against Collingwood at Optus, we can’t wait.”
Jordan Blair will join fellow 2025 Little Telethon Stars at the match and met some of his Eagles heroes at Mineral Resources Park this week.
“We are so excited to be tossing the coin for the Telethon game. We hope to raise lots of money,” Jordan said.
“C’mon WA!”
Impact Round supporting Telethon will build towards this year’s Telethon weekend, to be held on October 17 and 18.
