Malakai Champion will make his return as the WAFL Eagles prepare to host South Fremantle on Sunday afternoon.

Champion has been named at half forward after missing the past three matches with a broken hand that required surgery following the round 13 clash against East Fremantle.

The exciting small forward adds valuable speed and creativity to the Eagles' attack and will be looking to make an immediate impact in his first game back.

Corey Hitchcock has also been recalled, with the Eagles making two changes to the side that defeated West Perth last weekend.

Champion's return strengthens a forward line featuring Matt Owies, emerging tall Harry Barnett and key target Tylah Williams, while Tom Gross and Tyrell Dewar provide additional firepower.

The Eagles will be without Cooper Duff-Tytler, who has been selected in the AFL side, while captain Callum Jamieson is unavailable due to a hamstring injury.

The match starts at 1.10pm on Sunday at Mineral Resources Park and will be broadcast live on 7Plus.
